Adventures in musical electronics by midboost
Firstly I should really say this page is for geeks. Not everyone wants to know what type of diodes their Tube Screamer uses, or what the resistor values are in the tone stack of their Fender Delux Reverb amp.
However, as an electronics engineer who has played music all my life I find this all technical stuff fascinating (as well as being my day job).
So this part of the website is about me taking music technology apart, understading it,
and looking at how it can be repaired, improved, or modified to do something different.
I contribute to www.freestompboxes.com a great resource for understanding how guitar pedals and amps work.
Here I will blog about my projects as and when they happen. Hopefully someone enjoys this!
